What is Bike Chico?
A celebration of bicycling with activities to gear the community to ride to school, work, shop and play during National Bike Month in May. The Butte Bicycle Coalition coordinates this campaign to welcome new and returning cyclists and offers a platform to strengthen their skills and solidify their commitment to cycling. Any group or individual may solicit the BBC to promote their bike related event under the umbrella of Bike Chico.
What is Bike Month?
Sponsored by the League Of American Bicyclist, Bike Month is a warmer weather --usually-- opportunity to celebrate the unique power of the bicycle and the many reasons we ride. Whether you bike to work or school; to save money or time; to preserve your health or the environment; to explore your community or get to your destination, get involved in Bike Month and help get more people in your community out riding too!
The National Bike Challenge is back with a whole new look. The NBC is sponsored by the League of American Bicyclists and our own Sierra Nevada Brewery. The Challenge is offered FREE to all individuals, workplaces, schools and organizations. Create an account and your miles will be logged automatically. Whether you ride for transportation or recreation, all your miles will be counted. Help put Chico in the lead. Click here for more details.
